NCBE Announces National Mean for July 2025 MBE

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) announced today that the national mean scaled score for the July 2025 Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) was 142.4, an increase of about 0.6 points compared to the July 2024 mean of 141.8, and the highest July MBE mean since 2013 excluding the summer and fall 2020 administrations.

Mississippi Supreme Court Orders Adoption of NextGen UBE

The Supreme Court of Mississippi has ordered adoption of the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam (NextGen UBE). Mississippi’s first administration date has not yet been finalized. Forty-five US jurisdictions have now announced plans to adopt the new exam.

NCBE Releases National Mean for March 2025 MPRE

The national mean scaled score for the March 2025 MPRE was 93.9, 3.2 points lower than the March 2024 mean of 97.1. The March 2025 mean reflects the performance of 20,239 examinees, 790 fewer than the March 2024 examinee count of 21,029.

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) announced today that the national mean scaled score for the February 2025 Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) was 130.8. The MBE, one of three sections that make up the bar exam in most US jurisdictions, consists of 200 multiple-choice questions answered over six hours.
