The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) has published the family law subject matter outline for the NextGen bar exam. The outline is intended to inform stakeholders of the specific topics within family law to be assessed on the new exam starting in July 2028. These topics have been identified as those that are most essential for newly licensed lawyers.
